Everyone has heard of the three wise monkeys. Born in a 17th century Japanese wood carving in the famous Tōshō-gū shrine in Japan, the three monkey's embody the proverbial maxim that one should 'hear no evil, see no evil, and speak no evil'. In the carving one monkey has his hands shielding his eyes, another blocking his ears, and the third covering his mouth. All that left us to do was to turn Japanese folklore into subtle print.
