Design Story There's a mill in Bollington, just outside Macclesfield, called Adelphi Mill, where Blake Mill was born. It opened in 1856 with walls three feet thick in places, the kind of building that shrugs off a Cheshire winter without much comment. The wrought iron fencing outside it was a different story, rusted through and cracking at its own pace. The pattern is that rust, more or less, translated onto cotton: fine lines splitting apart, with a flash of colour showing through at the collar and cuff. We're calling it Rebel Stripe because Blake Mill wearers, well they tend to shun the norm with varying degrees of regard for the consequences.
