Design Story The red rose and the white rose were never just flowers. They were badges: red for the House of Lancaster, white for the House of York, the kind of thing you'd pin on before riding out to argue with your cousins about the throne. Roses at War borrows the badges rather than the fight, grey and blush blooms doing a passable impression of good manners up front, navy trim at the collar, cuff and placket carrying the real position, turned up louder than last time. Somebody's going to ask what the flowers are about eventually. "Fifteenth-century regicide" beats most answers a shirt can give you.
