What we don't know about Moorish art and design would fill a number of weighty tombs. We did find out it was developed in North Africa and the Iberian Peninsular around the 11the century (thank you Wikipedia). And we sort of knew it was typified by intricate calligraphy and decorative tiles. What we did know though, was it would make a cracking basis for a shirt design.
